MREA’s Consortium Professional Team
includes attorneys who are licensed in the US and Mexico. The same goes for our real estate accountants and investment team experts. Members of our Consortium in the legal field are Greenberg & Traurig, LLP. a large US law firm specializing in international transactions, real estate in Mexico. Because a number of Greenberg & Traurig’s attorneys are admitted to practice in both the US and Mexico, they have expertise in handling complex issues on both sides of the boarder.

Financial Issues and Mortgages transactions, we have GE Capital, the first American capital investment group to venture into Mexico to finance purchases of Mexico residential properties by Americans. MREA Consortium members representing GE Capital are authorized mortgage brokers: MexLand Mortgage Company. In addition to these members, MREA has number of Mexico developers, retail agents and Mexico real estate companies as Associate Members. In Mexico, MREA has cooperating real estate offices and representatives all over the country. MREA’s other subsidiary Gringo’s Palapas Rentals will assist to all customers who invest or purchase Mexico properties from MREA’s members to generate rental income by renting their properties, if they so choose. In many cases, rental income in Mexico will cover the entire payment of a home or condominium, resulting in a self-sustained property. Thus, owners have the opportunity to use their real estate investment for personal enjoyment, and rent it out as well.
Finally our Consortium is endorsed and supported by the Mexico National Tourist Office which provides great resources of information for our customers, as well as for our members and associates.
MREA Can Answer Your Questions
We will answer all of your questions related to Mexico real estate purchases, whether they are about legal issues, real estate purchases, buying property for investment purposes, retiring and settling in Mexico permanently, or starting a business in Mexico. We will work with interested real estate agents and real estate sales associates, financial advisors, estate planners, CPA’s, investor advisors and accountants.
Sales Associates are our biggest assets. We offer continuous education to inform and update the knowledge of our sale associates (agents). We pride ourselves in conducting business based on the highest professional and ethical standards, and we will not compromise our integrity under any circumstances. Our agents are knowledgeable, kind, helpful and trustworthy. We do not tolerate any “hard sell” strategies (often experienced in time share sales), and our agents have strict instructions to address the needs and desires of our clients first. We are buyer’s agent and work only with the most reputable developers. And we know them all in Mexico. If MREA does not recommend a developer, be very careful when dealing with them in particular if you are dealing with “pre-construction” sales. There has been instances where investors advanced money for “fantastic” deal to find out that deal never came through. When it comes to real estate, Mexico is still “Wild West” meaning that the industry is basically totally un-regulated. Anyone can hand a “For Sale” sign on a piece of land and start selling future “dream” homes. If you are not careful and don’t deal with reputable agents and brokers, you might lose everything.
MREA’s Strategic Marketing
We approach the marketing of Mexico real estate in many different ways: We hold nationwide presentations for consumers, investors and real estate brokers/agents. We generate leads and interest in the US and send the most serious buyers at our expense to Mexico*. We provide them with airfare and accommodations while looking for their ideal property. Through our distribution network with Keller Williams, we organize presentations and educational seminars for brokers and real estate agents. At each of those seminars we present certain products, developments, projects or selective properties from our associate members in Mexico. We also invite those sponsors whose properties or projects are featured to meet potential customers and agents, so that they can present their products in person.
